Veterinary Student CEMS

Skinvet Ireland is delighted to offer placements to veterinary students in their clinical years of training. These placements are open to students studying in Ireland and abroad and may form part of your final year elective rotation or your clinical extra mural studies (CEMS). We recommend a minimum placement duration of two weeks.

Students attending Skinvet are expected to be professional, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. You should be willing to work alongside the team and contribute to the daily running of a busy dermatology clinic. In return, you will gain valuable, evidence-based dermatology experience in a friendly, patient-focused environment, helping to build your clinical confidence and core competencies in veterinary dermatology, patient care, and client communication.

Veterinary students in pre-clinical years are also welcome to attend Skinvet for EMS placements. We cannot offer placements to veterinary nursing students as we do not have an RVN supervisor.
