Veterinary Student Externship & CEMS

Skinvet Ireland is delighted to offer veterinary student externship places to students in their clinical years of training. Externship places are open to students studying in Ireland and abroad. This student externship can be a part of your final year elective placement or form part of your clinical extra mural studies (CEMS). We recommend attending for a minimum 2-week placement.

Suitable externship students are expected to be professional, enthusiastic, eager to learn, and must be willing to work alongside us and help in the daily running of a busy dermatology clinic. In return, you will gain unparalleled evidence-based dermatology experience in a friendly, patient-focussed environment that will give you clinical confidence and core competencies in veterinary dermatology, patient care and client communication.

Vet students in pre-clinical years are also welcome to attend Skinvet for EMS placement.
